It is with profound regret we wish to inform you that Nanda Netcom will no longer be providing Internet Services.

Since 1989 when we started LWBBS and subsequently LWNET, we have always endeavoured to provide the best quality of service. However, with the current market conditions and prevalent subscription prices, we are no longer in a position to continue the same and therefore are terminating the service. As you may know in the last 3 years there has been a drop of nearly 10 times in the subscription rates while the cost of providing the service has remained almost the same making it unviable. We have continued this far in the hope that the situation would change but it hasn't. All ISP are facing severe financial difficulties and the situation is not likely to improve in the near future.

This indeed is a sad development for us as well as the Live Wire! community who has patronized and given us unstinted support & co-operation all these years which we shall always remember with gratitude. We feel sorry that we have no choice and are compelled to shut down both Live Wire! Net and Live Wire! BBS services.

As per the Government requirements, kindly treat this as a formal 15 days notice of discontinuation of the service. On termination, we will calculate the balance unused hours. Refunds may be collected from our office within a period of 30 days from termination of service. During this period if you need help, feel free to write us at support@nanda.net.in or call us on 5701111.

We suggest our customers to move their e-mails as well as web pages to an alternate provider as soon as possible and put a “.forward” on your mailboxes here at Live Wire! You could also use the REPLY-TO field of your e-mail software with the new e-mail address and put a tagline in your outgoing messages to inform your regular contacts of change of e-mail address. Our servers should be operational for a little over 30 days but there is uncertainty of this beyond the notice period so please treat this matter as urgent.
